Communicator (Parental Leave Substitute)

The position is placed within the municipal executive office, which is tasked with leading and coordinating the municipality's operations. Here, there are municipal functions such as HR, finance, communication, IT, and committee administration. We also coordinate work in culture, leisure, business, and tourism. The administration works on behalf of the municipal executive board.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a communicator, you will play an important role in planning, producing, and coordinating the municipality's internal and external communication across all departments and areas. You will work both strategically and operationally and be a key person in interacting with the municipality's various departments and operations to ensure effective communication to residents, businesses, employees, and other stakeholders in a clear, accessible, and engaging manner.

The work is mainly performed on-site, but remote work may occur by agreement with the immediate supervisor.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Developing and producing content for the web
• Creating relevant and engaging content for the municipality's social media
• Producing printed materials
• Supporting departments and managers in communication issues
• Assisting in crisis communication
• In collaboration with internal actors, developing the municipality's communication and internal processes around communication work
• Collaborating with and procuring from external partners, such as agencies, photographers, printing companies, web providers, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a communicator with broad experience who is a skilled and quick writer with an eye for visual expression and who moves effortlessly between different channels. You thrive in a fast-paced role with many contact points and deliver on both long-term projects and in high tempo with short notice. You are equally comfortable guiding managers and leadership in communication issues as you are producing texts and content for various channels. You are curious, unpretentious, and self-driven. You take initiative, make things happen, and easily build trusting relationships both within the organization and externally.

You have relevant education in communication, media, or similar, and substantial experience in communication work, with an extra plus if it is from municipal operations. You have excellent stylistic and linguistic skills in Swedish, are used to working with accessibility adaptations and clear language. You are good at working both independently and collaboratively. You approach tasks with responsibility and commitment and work from start to finish, seeing collaboration as a natural part of delivering high-quality communication support and service to the municipality's departments and residents. You are a pronounced team player.

Qualifications:

• University degree in communication or equivalent as assessed by the employer
• Experience with SiteVision as a web tool
• Producing engaging content for Meta platforms
• Good media knowledge and understanding of media logic
• Competence in InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro
• At least 5 years of experience as a communicator

Meritorious:

• Experience from the municipal sector
• Project management experience and/or training
